Which guitar to buy, electric or acoustic?

Always a problem choosing the right guitar to start with for the beginners. Everyone wants to look good while and feel comfortable while playing a guitar. The first thing they need to do is choose between acoustic guitars and electric guitars. Knowledge of both guitars can make it easier to make the decision on which guitar to buy.

A basic difference between an acoustic and an electric guitar is the amplification.

An acoustic guitar has hollow bodies, which amplify the vibrations from the strings. These guitars are more limited in shape, that also makes a difference on the sound. An acoustic guitar doesn’t have a wider option to choose from than the electric guitar. In acoustic you can only get steel string and nylon string guitars. Classical, flamenco and folk tunes are all played in nylon string guitars whereas steel strings are used for country rock music.

The differences between steel and nylon strings are that steel string is much more louder than nylon string, also mostly steel is play with a pick and nylon with fingers, though most guitarist just use their fingers for both type of guitars.

An electric guitar is much easier to play, they have pickups, that are wrapped in steel which hear the vibrations formed by the strings, then sends these signals to an amplifier. If you do think about purchasing an electric guitar, then you will also have to spend a bit more money on a good amp, which can be rather expensive.

People have been looking at a blended guitar, blended as in a guitar which has qualities of both acoustic and electric guitars. As you are the one who is learning to play, you should always go for your own preference. Most people have said that starting to play guitar with acoustic makes it easier to play electric, whereas there are some guitars which are hard to play such as classical guitars, basically because of the shape and size.
