It empowers you to make a conscious choice of what you will eat and when. Nobody can remain on a hard diet for life, so if you are going to break the diet anyway, it should, better, be calculated.
¢ Metabolism: When you eat the same amount of calories a day, given that you do almost the same amount of effort a day, you are adjusting your metabolic system to burn a certain amount of calories a day. Breaking your diet gives your body a chance to re-adjust its metabolism back to normal and challenge it to burn higher calories, given you will exert more effort on that day! A faster metabolism equals a faster fat burning metabolism.
This is why people lose weight during their diet and as soon as they break it, they just regain the weight so easily, as their bodies were adjusted during the diet, to burn a low amount of calories per day and their stomachs to digest only certain types of food.
¢ Psychology: Your body accumulates stress every time you prevent it from something it desires. And stress has a very negative effect on your body and affects your hormones, raise your cholesterol and destroy your metabolism.
Aside from stress eating, only being stressed out for a long time can make it gain weight. So take this day to release this stress by enjoying something you’ve been wanting all week.

¢ Make sure to count the calories on your free day as well. So you may eat a variety in small quantities, on one item in a, relatively, large quantity; but don’t let it go out of control.
¢ Remember the hard work and effort of the diet you stuck to all week and don’t throw it away.
¢ You might as well want to exercise on this day; at least, to burn what you’ve ate! Participating in physical activities helps your body to burn fat fast. And eat what you want in the morning so that your body has enough time to burn this food instead of storing it.
